In case you're not Radio 4 listeners

Tonight's half hour of comedy genius was by Mark Thomas, explaining how he'd creatively used the restrictions against demonstrations in front of the houses of Parliament.

He's still one of the best political comedians going, I used to love his stuff on Channel 4, and this is much in the same vein.

If you can bear to live through the hell of Real Player, then you may Listen Again.

Marvellous

Mark Thomas is the bomb! He's speaking at invention.tv in Bath on Tuesday 15th May. I'll be going.

Ooh, excellent, tah for that pointer, I shall add it to my diary!

Will see you there then (since I'm not doing very well at this socialising lark otherwise :))

Excellent. If you want to go for a drink sometime before that, let me know. I have an LJ email address.

Will do, work is gradually getting less utterly mental, so I may make it out in the evenings :)

Incidentally, I don't suppose you have any of his TV stuff recorded, do you? I started downloading a massive torrent of his stuff but it got stuck at about 60%.

No I don't, but I know someone who might have. I'll do a bit of asking around....

There's a 10g torrent of it around, all the Comedy Product stuff and some other bits too.

It's just the right size not to fit on one DVD though /:

Thanks. That was a delight. I have just listened to it twice.

And if you listen you can probably hear my laughter, as I was sat about 6 foot from one of the microphones. (:

I should have an MP3 of it soon, rather than a .buffering

Ah, nice one - thanks for linking. MT is a true comedy genius (I remember seeing him a fair few times at King's in London in '99...)

He's fantastic :) I saw him live last year, with Robert Newman opening. That was a good night.

I foolishly got a job over here working for Future Publishing. It's very pretty here, but with a lil less going on than Brighton :)

I hadn't had chance to check and see your LJ yet, so I didn't know - Congratulations! :)

I can see that it would keep you busy, hope it all goes well :)
